Arup is a global collective of designers, engineering and sustainability consultants, advisors and experts dedicated to sustainable development, and to using imagination, technology, and rigour to shape a better world.

Arup has been a trusted partner in the built environment and for sustainable development in Birmingham and across the Midlands for more than 50 years. We have worked on hundreds of projects across both the East and West Midlands, with our local team growing to almost 1,000 members today.

Our expertise in regeneration and sustainable design is influencing some of the most prominent schemes in the region. From Paradise to Perry Barr, and high-speed rail to decarbonising existing assets, our members bring insight and innovation to every project. This has included the redevelopment of Birmingham’s Alexander Stadium and the Sandwell Aquatics Centre for last summer’s Commonwealth Games, creating a legacy of pride and community wellbeing in the process.

This autumn will see us open our third largest office globally in the heart of Birmingham city centre at One Centenary Way. Our new location will make us better connected with our clients, collaborators, and the communities that we serve. In a setting of our design, we are embracing the potential of smart technology and delivering a workplace that promotes innovation and the wellbeing of our members.
