COVENTRY AND WARWICKSHIRE

Coventry and Warwickshire is a dynamic and investable location of 800 square miles (2074sqkm) with a population of over 1 million people. Located within the West Midlands, between Birmingham and Oxford, it is just one hour from London. Its economy is powered by strong clusters in design and engineering, software and R&D.

With its rich design and manufacturing heritage, Coventry and Warwickshire is home to brands such as Aston Martin, BMW, GE, Jaguar Land Rover and Rolls Royce. In recent years, the quality of local talent, built environment and globally respected University of Warwick and Coventry University has helped attract a strong pipeline of investment from China, Germany, India, Japan and North America.

A cluster of more than 40 vehicle-making OEMs design, develop and manufacture new products in Coventry and Warwickshire and continues to strengthen supply chains.

Automotive and manufacturing industries are not the only strengths the region has to offer. Coventry & Warwickshire is one of the largest UK hotspots for video games development dubbed ‘Silicon Spa’. Anchored around the town of Leamington Spa, the industry employs over 15% of the UK’s workforce, working on some of the most famous IP in the world such as Forza Horizon, Fable and Assassins Creed. Silicon Spa has grown significantly during the pandemic and beyond, with new studios and global names such as Tencent and Meta investing here.

This flair for innovation and creativity has seen growth spread through the creative eco-system of Coventry & Warwickshire. It is home to some of the UK’s most creative minds with strengths in design, virtual production, software consulting, digital marketing, Virtual and Augmented Reality, filmmaking and theatre.

Continuing public and private sector redevelopment across our city and towns is creating regeneration in Coventry, Leamington Spa and Nuneaton.
